Other costs

We may need to perform further tests to investigate your child’s symptoms, such as blood tests or skin prick tests. They may be charged for by both Children’s Allergy Doctors and the hospital where they are done. We would advise you contact the hospital to ascertain their fees prior to your appointment. If you have health insurance you should contact them prior to your appointment, to obtain preauthorisation.

The cost of tests is determined by and charged by the hospital where your child is to be seen. Prices vary slightly between hospitals and can be requested in advance from the hospital before proceeding with tests. If your visit is covered by health insurance, it is important that to contact your insurance provider prior to undertaking these tests.

Please contact us for further information about consultation fees and prices. We are always happy to advise on costs associated with treatments.

Cancellation policy

Due to long waiting lists, we ask patients to give us at least 48 working hours’ notice if you need to cancel or postpone your appointment. Late cancellations will incur a charge of £100.00.

How to pay

Following the consultation, an invoice will be issued and either sent to your insurance company (membership number and a pre-authorisation number is required for each visit) or sent to you if you are self-funding. If you are self-funding, or if your insurer has advised us that you need to pay either in full, or part of your invoice (e.g. excess, coinsurance etc), you will receive an invoice from the practice.

You can either pay over the phone on 0203 146 7721 Monday – Friday between 9.00am and 5.30pm.  The office is closed at weekends and Bank Holidays.

Or you can pay online 24/7.

Self-paid invoices and excess payment invoices must be paid at least 48 working hours before the appointment, or the appointment may be cancelled.
